Hey I actually agree with you in concept JBC. However, I believe that this Prez, whoever it ends up being, has an extra-difficult job getting policy enacted due to this election fiasco. Unless of course we have a national crisis to unite the American people (you pointed to the Bay of Pigs in JFK's admin). It's kinda of weird to say this, but we Americans always seem to come together uin time of need - no matter what one's affiliation is.

Perhaps we can all rest easy that neither candidate gets ALL the keys to the candy shop, no matter how much they win by, or how they've won.

That's the silver lining I'm hoping for, although my gut says Lott/Armey/DeLay are wearing bibs to catch all their saliva right now...
