Dershowitz also said on TV last night that Ms. Hair-is is both a political hack and "a crook" who had to give back 20 grand in laundered money.

Ms. Hair-is will become the poster girl in rather short order for everything that is wrong in politics.

They're practicing skits on her right now on "Saturday Night Live."

She is an independently elected official. So are the Democratic officials in Miami-Dade that decided, after re-re-counting, that they couldn't find enough votes for Gore to continue counting. They can make decisions independent of their party affiliation, based on the facts. Everyone involved citizen of this country voted for someone. Should they all be taken out of the process? Then you have an objective machine counting ballots. I don't think anyone of us here wants that. Too objective.
