<You folks seem to be rah rahing objectivity of machines, but overlooking deficiencies in man made machine. They are not fool proof and in this case the results produced by these machines seem to be biased towards GWB, in democratic counties (vice versa in Republican counties). Texas clerk of elections (or whatever) has said that only reason to use machines is for SPEED. Accuracy, she said is always determined by hand count and this has been one of the reasons why GWB signed on for hand re-counting in Texas. >

Listen closely. A machine recount may have deficiencies. But errors will occur on both sides. This machine is neither Democrat nor Republican. It doesn't care that Bush won this election. Now, a subjective hand re-re-count in heavily democratic areas is, well, subjective. Do you understand this?

Right! It's not that the machines themselves are biased, but that the machines prone to missing votes were installed in democratic counties while different ballots that were not prone to missing votes were installed in republican counties. That's why many more recount votes are showing up for Gore.
