jean. everything is a joke if sunw isn't doing it?

why did McNeally sell 95% of his holdings in SUNW 1000% ago? it's academic now, but he had his reasons and they had nothing to do with SUNW, right? you've been right regarding SUNW's price appreciation; and McNeally was a visionary?

linux was the lion tamer seven months ago and continues to grow at a strong clip. the growth rate slipped recently and some in "certain" sales circles (ah, but not our SUNW) are now saying 'i told you so'. but, no one was saying that seven months ago. even so, the current growth rate doesn't produce a predictable picture when compared to other formats. historically speaking its early adoption rate remains stronger when compared to the original introduction of the current leader.

there is more to a C/C+/SoC connection going forward than currently meets wallstreets eye. call up CRUS and see where they want to go. old economies of scale take on new meaning when the new economy represents a 50% savings over the old programming environment

Jean: According to IDC:
Server OS shipped:
1998: 38% windows, 23% netware, 19% unix, 16% Linux
1999: 38% windows, 19% netware, 15% unix, 24% Linux.
I wouldn't underestimate Linux.
Do you have y2k figures?
