Here is is some interesting conjecture from the Yahoo HOMS thread about options expiry tomorrow. I can confirm one part of his statement and that is about the large position in the 30 strike puts established yesterday. I was watching them and there was no volume and I bought a measly amount at 3/8 and then, bam!, almost a couple hundred went through and then pretty much nothing for the rest of the day.

The question I have is about the comment about large put volume preceding a liquidation. It makes sense but is it generally true?
