My point is that Condaleeza Rice is not the best choice for such an important job, certainly not the most experienced and we all know why she's being promoted for the job, on image over substance. True she's a brilliant woman but that is a crucial job. And even her expertise is limited. Can she do the job? Sure probably. Will she be the best for it? Hmmm. No Henry Kissinger IMHO.

Ditto Powell. He's a great General but has never shown himself to be an international statesman? Or has he? Has he ever shown expertise as a diplomat? Frankly I'm not even sure he wants to be Secretary of State or feels comfortable with the job. I'm also not sure why he campaigned so hard for Bush when he disagrees with him on most social issues.
