Yes it was, they counted a few precincts by hand and determined that there weren't too many errors. I think they are going to hand count them anyway now. We use the optical ballot where I vote. The felt pen makes a big mark so it's not a question of being dark enough, it could be a question of filling in the whole box, or accidently making a bit of a mark or coffee stain or something in another box.
