Somehow a trade I did on Friday that I diligently wrote down in a book with all the confirmation information--was not recorded. The trade was done through ARCA but ARCA says they have no record of it. What were your particulars?

Filing a complaint is serious. I suggest you first try to get satisfaction on the trades. To do that, you have to have documentation. You have to be able to show in writing what happened. If you can't document what happened, you are going to have a tough time proving it. Even if you don't have documentation, somebody else probably does. Contact the Compliance Officer at the firm and see if he can help you. That's his job. If it is a case of suspecting you are being cheated, it's a little different. But the first thing to do is to make sure that you can prove what happened and that your broker is ignoring the proof. The point is that you want your money back first, you don't want to waste time complaining. Take good notes, note the times and note the names of the people you talk to. The more documentation you have, the better your chances.
