RE:"Almost everyone is a member of a political party and has a bias. The problem with the SOS is that she is a key figure in Bush's campaign, and is looking for a position in the Bush Administration."

But you would be satisfied if the SOS just handed over everything to a Democrat wouldn't you? <G>

Who has the more dangerous conflict. The person who "remote views" the vote, or the person you wish to have carte blanche accept that determination.

Scumbria,

re:"Almost everyone is a member of a political party and has a bias. The problem with the SOS is that she is a key figure in Bush's campaign, and is looking for a position in the Bush Administration.

This is a serious conflict of interest."

Almost everyone is a member of a political party and has a bias. The problem with Al Gore is that he is a key figure in Gore's campaign, and already HAS a position in the current democratic administration.

This is a serious conflict of interest.

I think he should excuse himself.

Scubria, the reason you are worried about the SOS is because you are used to seeing Dems violate their oaths of office. Don't let you bad experience with Dems taint your view of everyone else. The SOS took an oath of office and has been adhering to it.
