re: "Governor Bush of Texas recently signed a law stating that hand counts are less subject to error than machine counts"

I think the Texas law was more focused on Pencil or Pen marked ballots where a person didn't fill in the box enough for the optical reader to register, but it is clear the person marked one box only with the intent of casting a vote for that candidate. This chad stuff is subject to falling off just from all the handling, so even without fraud the vote count could change enough in Gore's direction to make him the winner... if that happens again do we count one more time to see if it swings the other way. My take is they have counted enough, whatever the count is after the absentee ballots are in decides it.

P.S. Let's remember both of these men got a hell of a lot more votes then Clinton did 1992, so I will respect either as our next president.

SCUMbria - Re: "Governor Bush of Texas recently signed a law stating that hand counts are less subject to error than machine counts are."

Governor Bush also said he won the Florida Election - so why don't you show some consistency and believe him on the Florida issue ?
