it's not meaningless...it's a small nail in the bear coffin, along with soaring index p/c's. if easy Al comes out with a neutral bias, it's off to the races again. and all this talk out of GS and MER about raising equity allocations makes me suspect that that's in the cards.

look at the brokers...up sharply despite MWD downgrade. banks also recovering fully. rally may be for real this time, although one would normally expect another smash down to give the commercials an opportunity to go long the spoo...
