There has ot be write offs in all the companies that invested in net oriented retail business that are not coming up to expectations. I am sure some venture capitalists came out fine on underwriting getting in and out on time, but the banks will not. You add two and two together and it comes out four but it is hard to say if it will or won't. Everyone can get bailed out and we are back to two plus two equaling two. Though I strongly believe gold held in the CB's accounts stopped runaway currency actions, because it was world uniform and did not depend on the conditions of any singular economy.
