No one can impose their will on anyone in a true democracy. Right now I'm feeling imposed on big-time. A GOP Florida Secretary of State can decide our election? Or some partisan lawsuit? This mess may be the biggest blessing we've ever had as a country. This may wake up the people and force the two parties to change or perish. Just get over their fears and change. Stop the addiction to soft money, quit nominating the insider who the people don't even want, quit living in the past. let me tell you this, whichever party pushes for change in the next four years will come out ahead. So if not the GOP then either the Dems or a much bigger independent groundswell. If Bush wins his administration might be the last gasp of the old guard. Because I don't see him as a populist or a progressive in any way (just the opposite) he will if he wins certainly be a one-term act. And I do mean "act" as opposed to action.
