GOP's main support is not Wall Street, it's Main Street.

Wall Street has steadily been moving to the Dems for a while.

Bush had $90,000,000 in soft money before the election even started. He was crowned the victor by the big donors behind the throne long before anyone cast a vote. As a Republican can you truthfully say you're proud of that? I know, Gore had it too on his side, but because of all that soft money McCain had no chance, no chance at all.

I recently talked to a college student about the election. She said her family was republican. She mourned McCain being out of the race. So she switched to Nader. Then to Gore. Then held her noe and voted for Bush. Then afterwards regretted that. This is your typical young upper middleclass suburban white girl. She's totally disillusioned with your party. She had no idea who to vote for this time but she felt she should vote for someone.
Give this girl campaign finance reform, cut down on the anti-choice talk and you'll have this girl for life. Otherwise she'll vote for Jesse Ventura next time. And so will millions of others. And there goes your white male vote as well.
