On the contrary. Parties are necessary to represent interests but these days it's gotten way out of hand.
People who don't feel totally comfortable with either party have nowhere to go. Actually I believe embracing true reform would be very good for both parties. But in the future maybe we'd all like to be able to switch parties without compromising our values. This us against them, our team vs. your team is taking on the character of a vicious football rivalry where only two teams are allowed in the league. There's no fairness anymore in it. No wonder all these lawsuits are popping up. They all have a point to make. The laws aren't about fairness and in many cases they're outdated. That's why I say the winner of this election may end up being the real loser. Ironic but true.
