Gets to ya eh ... steeper commission plus exchange rate plus the rapacious Naz spread ... i got royally hosed on a trade in camp.nas one time, it was through a full-service house who won't let you keep us funds in your rrsp so you pay exchange on every transaction, plus they dinged me massively for commission [rolled it back when i complained, but it was still ridiculous], plus they got an extremely poor execution, a good five per cent below the best bid i was seeing when putting in the order ... so my fat two and a half bagger turned into something shy of a double ... i haven't made a us trade in that account since, and very few canadian trades, just use it for buy&hold, don't have much option. There's definitely opportunity in this business for an efficient player ... i hear SEG will be offering US markets soon? [from sh post probably] ... i wonder if canadians will be eligible for that, or will there be legal issues ... our home and native houses don't like competition, is my impression .. and guess who runs the securities commissions.
