Just an interesting side note: Did Nostradamus predict this? newsmax.com Did Nostradamus Predict This Crisis?

On a light note, British Nostradamus expert Dr. S.A. Carson tells us that the famous French prophet Miguel de Nostradamus (1503-1566) wrote as follows in Century Nine, Verse four of his predictions:

The year following unfolds with floods Two elected rulers, the first one does not hold onto power Into the shadows one of them takes refuge Attacking for gain the house that he had at first maintained.

Dr. Carson says, "This appears to fit the present events in America where two leaders may well be elected - one with a majority of the popular votes and the other with a majority of electoral votes. One of these inevitably will fail to win the White House, retreat into the shadows of obscurity and yet continue a series of attacks, plundering, sacking or figuratively, taking out lawsuits for damages against the White House that he had at first supported. But which leader is which? Who is Gore and who is Bush? Or does this prophecy even apply to the current events, at all?"

Good question. Nostradamus told us 1999 was end of the world. Perhaps we didn't look into the crystal ball correctly.
