The demand for fiber, FO Components and products is incredibly strong, verifiably, for at least 12 months. If you want to order anything to be delivered in the next 12 months from GLW, you have to place your order now. That's right, they are booked to capacity for the next 12 months.

My prediction is that the demand for FO cables/components and products will accelerate in the coming years. I believe that we are at the bottom of a parabolic curve going up as far as the demand in the optical space is concerned.

FredE,

I think companies with astronomic multiples will be hurt... let's face it - the built in expectations are insane for companies like JDSU... That said, I think the capex issue is being way overplayed. Remember - there are markets outside the US; and while the US market is significant in size a slow down here could be masked by increases in spending elsewhere and in other markets.. at least that's the case made for companies that have the balance to take advantage of this breadth. Companies signularly focused on any one market and any one technology are exposed - and moreso if they are trading a unsustainable mulitples. This is the same reason that I don't like JNPR.
