Of all involved US Presidents, LBJ clearly deserves a plurality (if not majority) of the blame for the Vietnam War. After that, it is Kennedy, Nixon, and Eisenhower in that order.

Nixon came into office with the war in full motion. How he handled it from that point would've been moot if those who came before him hadn't escalated the war.
