Well, the issue with that is - if they can be made to go to war (at 18) then they should be entitled to vote. (as you stated)

Have to disagree with you here, jraz,
My 19 year took his first presidential election very seriously. He studied the issues, he took care of transferring his registration, he volunteered at campaign headquarters. He would be very angry at your condescension and could easily point to older people who haven't got a clue what the issues were, and many who didn't even bother to vote.
