The Florida statutes do not provide for interpretation of indentations in ballots.

How about "just count the friggin votes as called for in Florida statutes." What's wrong with that law?

They are not counting votes, they are "interpreting voter intent" on invalid ballots.

If the courts declared that PB county could hand recount all VALID ballots and the new total would be certified and accepted by Ms. Harris, the Dems would still cry foul. They are certain that Gore's victory lies buried in a pile of INVALID ballots.

Like I said, it's not about counting, it's about invalid ballots. The Dems feel that voter errors and voter stupidity should be corrected after the election is over as long as they are certain that the errors were made by mentally challenged democrats.
