Wiz,

Yeah but I thought that CSCO and PHCM were supposed to have a cozy relationship that was bound to get cozier with Listwin over there. I thought CSCO bought ACVC for its unified messaging platform and this deal maybe signaled some trouble with their budding relationship.

That is pure speculation on my part however, and probably off base. As far as Listwin goes, I hear just about everyone falls for his seductive charm. I doubt I will fall for his rap but eagerly await his majesty's tour thru gotham and can only hope that Quattrone's boyz grant me an audience with Fat Don. I will probably have to settle for a group lunch which of course will allow me to heckle him in front of an audience.

There was not time for due dilly on PHCM today, however. Another busy day of trying to grill CFO's in the brave new world of Reg FD. Here is a actual conversation I had with A CFO of a company that sports a $4 billion market cap:

Scene: Plaza Hotel, UBS Warburg Conference

NN: Your stock is on a rampage. The recent ramp has taken it up to the top of my sheets. Its up almost 10% today and and it is not even lunch time. Damn I am good. I am thinking about taking the rest of the day off. Ya wanna go grab a drink down at the Oak Bar and then swing by Billy's Topless?

CFO: No, I still have not had breakfast. Besides, I have to head for Baltimore soon. I present tomorrow at the DBAB conference.

NN: Awesome. There is more hot money at that conference than this one and I bet they take the stock up again after you present. If anyone is short they are gonna get buried. BTW, I am not sure I can ask you this but how is the december quarter going?

CFO: You are right, you can't ask me that. But business is fantastic. We are ahead of plan and will likely announce several new design wins soon.

NN: Cool. I was worried you were going to tell me to read the most recent SEC filing. 10-Q's put me to sleep. And don't worry, you have 24 hours to issue a press release about biz being fantastic. Have a safe trip to charm city, I gotta step in the hallway now and call Buzz and Batch and tell them about your secret guidance. Are you sure you are not up for Billy's?
