Bush blew it. Had Bush, once Buchanon admitted he got Gore's votes, conceded to Gore then, Bush clearly and instantly would have become a hero, a real bonafide Amerian hero, a statesman above all statesmen, respected by both Democrats and Republicans alike. And a future presidency would most assuredly would wait in the wings for him.

This is speculation, buy, hey, why not? There's something fishy, so speculation is fair game. I think Bush reasoned he only had one shot at getting the presidency and it had to be now. Why? 'Cause there's probably more scandal in his background which could come out in the future. And what is the value of an American hero with scandal? If he got elected now, perhaps, like Clinton, he could ride out any post-election scandal.

I think this because of his lame excuse of using his 18-year-old, voting-aged twins as the reason why he couldn't come clean to America on the DUI. Hey, in the larger scope of things, an aged old DUI is minor and wouldn't have hurt him. It's my theory he didn't disclose it because he didn't wanna point the media in that direction.

Oh, well.
