I find it more than interesting that the 11th Circuit has granted the appeal. I am checking all the major online news sources and so far only the Washington Post is giving much info on it, but the 11th Circuit ordered election officials in Volusia County to submit info on their manual recount by 7:00 a.m. TOMORROW! I've done a lot of appellate work, mostly in the 5th circuit, and to a lesser extent in the 4th circuit, and I can tell you that this is extraordinary.

Granting an appeal is uncommon.

Granting an appeal en banc without an initial hearing before a three judge panel is extraordinary.

Telling one of the litigants to provide the court with information in less than 24 hours is unheard of.
