I suspect the Repubs will holler the standard line: "We've already had two counts!! bla bla bla." It is my understanding that Baker rejected a statewide hand count several days ago. The truth is, both the Dems and the Repubs have a very good idea of how all the numbers come in.

Here is another scenario which hasn't gotten much air time: The Repubs at this stage may now attempt to litigate the Florida election to the extent that all votes will be declared void. Then the House of Reps would have to decide a winner, since neither candidate would have attained the magical 271 electoral votes. If it goes to the House, then Bush wins, because GOP presides in 26 states; Dems preside in 20; 4 are tied.
