Face it the Reps are finished. They can argue the 14th ammendment as much as they want. But that really will fall into the Dem's hands. The people who are really suffering disenfranchisment are those with crappy voting machines and they happen to be in Democratic counties.
Instead of spending $3billion on TV advertisements it appears that both parties could have increased their votes by ensuring that counties had the latest voting equipment (for a few $100mil), and that ballots were easy to read. In that aspect they are both a bunch of wallies. If you think that the vote should be decided by counties with beter voting machines/methods then I will never talk with you again.
Besides Bush's PR team are idiots. And face it when you need to bomb some country in the world, PR is king. Who wants a president who doesn't understand that?
