Yes- I was pleasantly surprised when I checked it at the end of the day. I don't expect this one to give us high-tech returns (of course that goes for the downside as well as the upside), however hopefully we can continue this rally somewhat further. I remember a couple of years ago, before I bought into Brascan, it traded in a $25 to 30 range. Then the Asian crisis hit, and it dropped to $20. Being a value investor I couldn't resist what I considered a great bargain. Of course, the rest is history. Two years later (or is it 3??) Brascan is barely above that "bargain" price I paid, despite the fact that all of its operating units have significantly grown their earnings. Of course, the longer the downturn in tech goes, the greater the chance of investors turning to companies such as Brascan.

Still in on Brascan, Bill? The market has finally awaken to this gem. What do you think fair value would be for this stock?
