I think it is absolutely absurd to believe numerous persons working under stressful conditions for long hours can all be quickly trained to a certain standard of evaluation and then carefully execute evalutions of 6,000,000+ cards more accurately and impartially than machines. Life is not fair, if Gore lost because of low intelligence in a few democratic counties, to bad get over it. If you cant figure out how to properly execute the ballot in question you get what you deserve.

cnyndwllr: Excellent statement!! The barrage of flack that each side is throwing up to obscure their goal makes them all look pretty stupid if you cut to the basic issue as you do. If there were a truly good candidate at the head of either ticket, we would not be in this mess. For some reason many on this thread seem to think Bush is some kind of gift to mankind. Strange gift. These two bozos deserve each other. I vote for a duel ... with Uzzi's so that we can be rid of both.
