Actually, it was the first time I've worked on an HP. But, most of these guys use customized intel boards and I had seen the problem a couple of years ago on an Intel AL440LX. So it took me 5 minutes to fix the problem and 8 hours to resurrect the software to it's pre-support usability. (or to be immodest, a significant enhancement). The PC's owners were present and fuming after seeing how quickly the fix went, but at least no longer threatening to toss the PC through a window. I'll relay to them the AOL fixes. I don't need them as I refuse to use AOL. In fact, after having been a compuserve customer since 1988 I was forced to cancel after AOL bought them and them as unusable as AOL is.
