The Attorney General has no say over these proceedings.
He's just chiming in as a partisan to try and balance the spin. The election commission in Florida should be completely independent now. Harris lies through her teeth when she claims she is non-partisan. She's just trying to make sure she gets re-elected.

I think it's unrealistic to think that the Sec of State /and or AG should recuse themselves or that it would make any practical difference with how this process is going to play out. These are elective offices, and the voters of Florida chose to make these offices partisan. If either of these folks recused themselves, their chief deputies would make the same decision. Jeb, as GW's brother, is in a different position.
