I suppose she is right. It is merely speculation the vote would change. Why should anyone change their law?

The one fact she doesnt have at this point is whether the manual recount would change the result. That seems like a significant fact to me.

The question of whether the manual recount would change the vote is . . . ah, a questionable reason for ordering a complete recount of the whole county. The way I read Florida law, upon request the counties have to do a sample of three or more precincts which total 1% of the county, and then they can do a complete manual recount of the county if the sample reveals an "error in the vote tabulation." Did the sample demonstrate an error in the vote tabulation? That is the sine qua non.
