I'll defer to the fundamentalists when it comes to EPS & CF.

Am more interested in what geological trends a company like this is working in and the quality of their prospect inventory, their drilling success rate (particularly on exploratory wells), balance sheet, the TA read I get on the stock.

And of course any special considerations such as a likely takeover or merger.

When I get time I'll have to give the ESNJ release a close read.

excardog,

ESNJ is now selling for 16.2 times 2000 annualized cash flow, which is not cheap. I was surprised that the annualized cash flow declined from 6 mos ended 6/30/00 to 9 mos ended 9/30/00. Production did increase 13% over 2Q, and 73% over 3Q 1999.
