Re: NT...I don't know that much about the network card division of Alteon. From the sound of it, it seems more like it will benefit 3Com, especially if Alteon's card still has a dominant niche in the card considering they were one of the first to ship it out. If so, 3Com will benefit from the technology. The question to ask is why did NT sell it. Were they strapped for cash and thus sold this unit to raise some? If so, it could hurt them in the long run by losing it. Or did they sell a not so profitable division? If this is the case they could benefit by making the company stronger. These are not questions I can give any insight to.

Chart wise, NT has support at 36 and it is possible that NT could at least make an upswing to test the lower end of the gap in the upper 40's. A break of 44 to the upside confirms that a test is likely. Above this, expect resistance at about 47 and then at 49. Stochastics say a little more upside for the short term, but momentum is slowing. If 36 breaks, look out below
