Of course your alternative is just for Gore to concede...... And I presume you prefer that Gore litigate his way into the Presidency? Is that what we've come down to? Democrats suing their way into office.... After all, they designed and approved the ballot.... They received more electronic recounts than any other Florida voting precinct... Why should Palm Beach and these other counties be treated more special that every other country and precinct across this land?.... Why should they be permitted to disenfranchise every other American voter who submitted their votes to the same kind of process that they did (with likely the same confusions, mistakes, and manipulations evident as in PB)... Besides, I have to get suspicious when during the process of manual recounting, people noted that "chads" were falling to the floor in quantity... This system needs to changed... Butterfly ballots done away with, and a replacement that leaves no doubt about the voter's intent. But that will have to be for the next election.. If you try to fix the mechanics of voting in this one, you will have to include a recount of every county in America in order to insure that every vote was properly counted. Voters have the equal right to have access to cast their vote into the election "machinery". They DO NOT have the right to seek preferential treatment over their fellow Floridians, or Americans. Again, it might be a different situation had a Republican been responsible for creating that ballot, or had it been unique to that county, and thus confusing.. But little kids are successfully completing this thing. If they are able to properly vote on a butterfly ballot, then we have to ask what the state of mind was of those adults who could not.
