Many of the metro netwk co's are teetering on bankruptcy, pal. Wake up. And they're being financed by the equipment vendors, like lu, csco, and nt. Financial strain can develop at either end of these tenuous relationships. the metro netwk co's are greenmailing the vendors- "want our business? Then give us the financing for it!!" many of these metro co's are going nowhere. The competition is fierce now. Imagine how it will be in 18 mos when the field is even more crowded.
