Excellent post. I agree with you on most counts. However, a Christian Fundamentalist as Prime Minister of Canada scares the hell out of me (no pun intended) regardless of whether he would garner little support on some of the policy changes he would like to impose on his flock. IMO the most qualified candidate to be Prime Minister of Canada in this election is Joe Clark, but that's probably throwing a vote away.

Hi Gulo
Good point.
I would say though, that if or P.M. holds the same position as Mr Day on abortion, then he is a much bigger slime ball than I have been giving him credit for. I could respect a leader who stands up and says "I believe abortion is a woman's right" or "I believe abortion is wrong" But to believe abortion is the killing of an innocent child and to stay silent for the sake of political expediency and power is to me , the height of hypocrisy. That man does not deserve to be in a position of leadership because if he has demonstrated that he is willing to sacrifice the weakest of us what else would he be willing to look the other way on?
Off to bed Good night
Greg
