You have heard the same arguments I have, so this back and forth is silly. I imagine everyone on SI has been watching one of the news shows as well.

Would you like me to repeat the scenario of Broward County? The no followed by the yes after the intervention of a Democratic honcho? I think not.

And PB County? First one, followed by more, the implication being that the initial outcome was an unhappy one for certain parties.

the federal govt does

get into local affairs way too much. Even the Supreme Court had to rein in Clinton a couple of years ago on his abuse of Power. We are, in fact, 50 seperate countries. By design of the forefathers, and it is the best design.
But the Feds have an intrest in this because it is an election for President, and the feds have the responsiblity to see that rational, lawful procedure is followed. Could Florida decide to do nothing for months or years and stiffle
the whole process? Of course not....the feds have an intrest and responsiblity here.

By the way, Greg, didn't you promise a couple of days ago not to post about the election anymore? Regards, Moose

Speaking of liberals not getting it. Conservatives believe in local control when statists decide to destroy education with the "public" school system, or allow the federal government to illegally engage in the health insurance and annuities businesses, or steal citizens' land without due process or compensation. But like anyone else, when they are getting mugged in an alley by Bill Daley and Algore, they call the cops.

It's a distinction only a liberal would miss...
