There was no fraud in the hand counts. Timely applications were made in areas where the Gore campaign felt there were anomalies. You want to characterize it now as selective when Bush himself exercised imprudence in not calling for recounts in his own areas of strength? Your argument is selective. Gore tonight called for recounts everywhere. Bush is afraid that he would not win in that event. That shows me poor judgment, poor statesmanship and quite frankly cowardice.
