Ms. Harris did what she had to do. Even though the Florida law gave her the leeway to do the right thing her political career would have been over if she had done it. She knows there is very little chance that the judicial system will not ultimately require her to count those hand counted votes. Right now it is her job to throw as many roadblocks with delaying tactics in front of the Democrats as she can legally do. She is doing a pretty good job.

The Republicans have decided there best chance is to try and run out the clock. If the roles were reversed I would expect the same thing from a Democrat, but I don't have to respect the person that does it.
