There is no doubt in my mind that the whole thing this evening was an orchestrated effort between the Bush Boys in Austin and Tallahassee. An investigation of this collusion alone will make an exciting story. I suppose there are no laws about election tampering when it's your brother that's Governor of the state that you are colluding with.

You are correct, line man. With Bush recused, Harris is the only Republican standing in the way, and the Democrat controlled Supreme court will not allow her to do anything. As I posted earlier, the counts will continue until Gore has enough votes, then Harris will of course disallow the manual counts when they come in, and the Florida Supreme court will rule that she has to include them. This is all as predictable as saying that the sun will come up tomorrow. The mystery is whether the US Supreme Court will subsequently hear the case. Everyone wants a fair result, and an honest one. Which one is that? Will the people of the US ever accept either person as the bone fide winner? I seriously doubt it. Carl
