Westell and Leading Distributor to Offer Full Range of Products In Canadian Markets
AURORA, Ill. and MARKHAM, Ontario, Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Westell Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: WSTL - news), announced today it has partnered with Fibre Optic Connections, a full-service, value-added distributor to offer Westell's full range of products into the Canadian marketplace.

Westell will team with Fibre Optic Connections to offer both Telco Access (TAP) and DSL products to carriers and CLEC's throughout Canada. Fibre Optic Connections will support Westell's WireSpeed(TM) line of DSL CPE modems and routers including the popular Ethernet based 516 as well as the affordable Universal Serial Bus (USB) line of products. Fibre Optic Connections will also offer Westell's 566 modem featuring WebShare(TM), Westell's low-cost software solution that enables up to 64 users to share a single DSL link converting a modem into a platform for small business and home users with multiple personal computers.

Fibre Optic Connections is the first international distributor to support the entire Westell product line and will also distribute a suite of Westell TAP products that includes:

-- The award winning Advanced Span Termination System (ASTS(TM)) for
high-speed transport networks;
-- HDSL2 transmission products which provide DS1 services over a single
cable pair in the local loop;
-- The DS3-MegaJack(TM) -- its newest line of Network Interface Units and
Repeaters that support high-speed DS3 delivery:
-- The ProAct(TM) line of T-1 Network Interface Units (NIU's); and
-- Westell's full array of enclosures and mountings designed to house
NIUs and HDSL units.
