Joey---Bingo! The whole thing is about interpretation.
While it may seem like it is ignoring the law to one group, it is merely a different interpretation to others.

When the first court told the Bush people that it would not order a halt to the recount; when the state court told the SoS that she could reject the receipt of new votes, but NOT in an arbitrary fashion; and, when another court told the SoS that it too would not order a halt to the recount, what did all those rulings say?

This whole thing is about perception and interpretation.
