RTX Telecom Shares Rise as Company Signs Development Contract

--From AOL. Anyone?-- Cooters

Copenhagen, Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- RTX Telecom A/S shares rose as much as 14 percent after the Danish developer of wireless communication products said it won ``ground-breaking development contract'' with an unidentified company.

The shares added as much as 45 kroner to 370. RTX first sold shares in June at 185 kroner each.

The contract is worth a ``considerable million-krone amount,'' RTX said in a statement release distributed by the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. ``It will have an impact on both sales and net income in fiscal 2001 and fiscal 2002.''

The contract involves CDMA, a digital standard used to transmit mobile telephone calls.

Hot Damn! Now there is one sizzling letter. Gotta get that guy to join us here. With a CEO like that, Level 3 is a company one must respect.

It will be interesting to see how Gilder responds. And respond he must.

As we have seen here many times...all gurus have their day in the sun...until they trip...which they all do at some point...except, well, never mind.

Rick

Level 3 CEO James Q. Crowe Releases Letter to George Gilder

Thank you for posting that letter. It was well written and informative, at least from Level 3's side. I too will be interested in reading Gilder's response.

There is a Gilder thread on SI and I will be checking to see if anything has been posted there regarding this.
