Kranman: I can't believe Iridium got picked up at the fire sale. I believe BobRealEstate was tracking the satellites in orbit a few months back trying to predict when they would burn up.

I'd like to know...

1. How many I* satellites are working, how many are not.
2. I* is no longer hooked up to the public switch telephone network. How big a deal will it be to turn it back on.
3. Does anybody know the background of the investors? Do they know what they are doing or was the $25 million dollars just a big lottery ticket?

I honestly do not see how this can be good news for G*. I would make a SWAG and state that perhaps the venture bought the assets with an attempt to sell the whole system to the military.

I don't think I* can be reborn...but in the meantime, it may delay G* vertical contracts.
