probably correct...as it were, opinions on this are naturally tinged by political leanings for the most part, so it's extra difficult to differentiate useful information from propaganda.

As of yesterday I saw a NBC-WSJ poll that indicted

55% of those polled agree that the hand counts should go forward.

42% of those polled indicated that the machine results should stand.

I believe many Americans are beginning to understand how inaccurate punch-style ballots are. The issue of fairness for individual voters is moving to the center of this election discussion at least in the minds of many people...And that may be the real victory here.

I was stunned when I heard Don Imus bemoan the Votamatic and acknowledge that these systems exist primarily in highly populated, heavily democratic areas. He has dialed down the rhetoric considerably as well.

I believe what will come out of this is a new, more sophisticated voting rights movement...It's about time.
