If you think abortion is wrong, then don't get one.

If you think slavery is wrong then don't own a slave.
If you think rape is wrong don't rape anyone.
If you think child abuse is wrong don't beat or molest your kids...

Touche Diana: you are absolutely right: people should be held to "tak[ing] responsibility for their own decisions."

I also agree that there are numerous, diverse, ways to avoid pregnancy; one is: an asprin tablet [held tightly between the knees]; the other is: common sense; and, last, but not least is the fact that it is, and should always be, a very personal decision, not subject to intervention by anyone. Still, it does entail responsibility of some kind; and, I don't believe people should be absolved from that.

Responsibility ...

Read a piece in this morning's paper about a guy who was stopped by a cop driving after he'd had a bit to drink. The cop let the guy off. He crashed his car later, and is now suing the cop for letting him off. He claims that if the cop had arrested him, the accident would have been prevented.

The distance some people will go to avoid responsibility for their conduct has no limit.

Cheers, PW.
