Brian, if the Florida Supreme Court didn't already overturn the Secretary of State this afternoon, they came pretty close: Palm Beach County is allowed to count its ballots by hand, contravening the order of the Secretary of State to stop all counting except absentee ballots. We'll have to wait until Friday for the ruling of the County Court on the arbitrary and capricious ruling of the Secretary of State. I'm pretty certain the court will rule that she acted . . . arbitrarily and capriciously.

Fun with numbers! -In Gadsden County, west of Tallahassee in north Florida, the canvassing board agreed to let Republicans and Democrats inspect more than 2,000 ballots rejected by voting machines and later recounted by hand. Gore had a net gain of 153 votes after the recount. Democrats later withdrew their request to review the ballots. OK so I did some math. 2000 votes Gadsden County that were recovered. According to statistics from Palm Beach County 19000 or so ballots were double punched and 10000 votes were under punched. Democrats alleged that this was because of 'the illegal ballot'. So that's two to one of some 30000 ballots that were rejected by the machine vote counters. If such is the case then of the 2000 ballots cast if one considers this error normal one might also see a 2 to one vote count in Gadsden County assuming no butterfly ballot. If so that would leave 667 undervoted ballots of the 16000 voted county wide. If so one could use the Palm Beach county statistic of recovering 1/2 of the undervoted ballots or 333. Giving Algor 233-67 or 156 vote lead. The actual figure was 153 votes picked up. Could someone answer me this question? 1.) Were their any butterfly ballots used in Gadsden County? V
