Yes.That Is Probably His Largest Impediment. Along with the right wing whacko bible thumping fire'n brimstone jail them all forever that we don't inject-- and other issues, that tend to turn off voters that may merely want an alternative to the present junta in more mainstream issues. It appears many Americans have found themselves in the same conundrum.Why the right think they need the fringe groups is beyond me.It would seem more logical to stay well center of the right and wingers would fall into line anyway.They turn away more than they gain I believe. I personally may abstain from this election, since elections Canada won't provide a " NONE OF THE ABOVE " choice.Either that, or I may vote NDP just to keep the Liberals honest.Yea right!The Liberals should have called a leadership vote prior to this unnecessary election in the first place.Jean is looking more and more like a dictator with every passing year he hangs on. I just don't like this system where any one party has so damn much power either, and Jean has shown us he is ready and willing to use/abuse that power when HE feels it's necessary. I don't fear him doing anything toooooo drastic , but I recall too clearly his cocky statement to Bill Clinton just prior to the " invasion " of Yugoslavia.Bill was moaning about having to go through congress , and Jean said" If I need the Armed Forces to go to war , I just say so!! ", or words to that effect.Total F---ing arrogance ifin ya askes moi. So the issues of healthcare,fiscal responsibility,state of the UN-Armed forces,regional disparity , immigration , marahootchie medicine ,and on and on..take secondary import for me in THIS particular election. It is about POWER.Those who will keep it at any cost , and those who will try to obtain it , when they clearly are not prepared for what awaits them.Dorris ( Day ) needs a full term in opposition , like you say." We the people ", just don't know enough about this man and how he operates to give him the unbridled power of the Prime Minister in this country. On A Side Note: I wish a person the quality of Alexa Macdonald would find herself in an executable party.She has so much to offer that gets wasted on the junta, but will never get anywhere with the N-Dippers. And as for the BLOC : What can one say?THEIR SEPARATISTS!! Heh Heh Heh...... And the Conservatives? It's Joe Who all over again.Too bad for Charest. One of the few I actually would vote FOR.
