Jim,

I know this has been posted in a number of places. I didn't see it until today. Have you read this?

Jim,

In legal briefs filed in the case Thursday, the Bush campaign said
such hand recounts are allowed only when there is an equipment
breakdown. "Failure of certain voters to properly execute their ballots is
not a basis for conducting a manual recount," it said.

What is this all about? They had no problem accepting a hand count of damaged ballots in New Mexico.

I am getting tired of this chads thing.

The chads are just the ones that were probably hanging by one corner and fell as soon as they were handled.

the chads could have come from any punch on the ballot and not just Gore and Bush.

Its ridiculous and am surprised that there is so much controversy over something so simple and logical.
