My only thought is that your preference has cost you this year.

VRTS has returned 35.9% ytd, while NTAP has returned 83.3%.

mc, Veritas is strong in the backup software arena, as they are built into Windows 2000. But as a "storage player", not a contender, imo.

I like VRTS, but only for their value chain in backup software, W2K volume management, etc. Not for NAS.
